Where to Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day in North Carolina

You don’t need the luck of the Irish to find out about the many great events happening around North Carolina on St. Paddy’s Day! Here is a list of some fun events happening this year. Don’t forget to wear your green clothes!

St. Paddy’s Day Party

Greensboro’s annual celebration kicks off with the local fire department’s pipes and drums, followed by Irish dancing and great live bands. This event also offers Irish foods such as shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash and corned beef sliders. There is also a marketplace where you can trace your family’s heritage and history. Admission to the St. Paddy’s Day Party is free and it begins at 3 pm on March 17th.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade/Charlotte Goes Green Festival

The 21st annual St. Patrick’s Day parade rolls through Uptown Charlotte on March 18th, featuring floats, flags, and fun. Following the parade, enjoy the Charlotte Goes Green Festival, which offers Irish dance school performances, Irish music, food and drink vendors, and activities for the whole family. Admission is free and the fun starts at 11:00 am.
